We provide the crucial firm foundations for a successful life. Learning in our Primary Phase is holistic, child-centred, and joyful. Pupils learn in guided groups and this is enhanced by real life and authentic learning provision, where children find out about the world and how it works. There is an emphasis on a hands-on play-based approach which helps pupils think deeply, make sense of the world, interact with others, explore materials, experiment, and predict. Learning outdoors is an integral part of our curriculum.
We provide a broad, balanced, and diverse curriculum which systematically develops pupil skills across our all-age school. There is a large emphasis on reading and a whole range of clubs and trips. There is an array of GCSE, vocational, creative, and technical qualifications for pupils in Years 10 and 11.
Within our brand new and first-class sixth-form facilities, we form great relationships with all our pupils, and provide extensive future destinations support. Our academic outcomes have been consistently excellent.
Learning is delivered through meaningful contexts and adapted to meet individual pupils’ needs and interests. There is a flexible access to individual, small group, and whole class teaching, including integration into mainstream classes. Our structured approach provides a calm, orderly, and predictable learning environment, and a high level of routine to increase familiarity.
